The new global headquarters for Deckers, the company that makes Uggs, Tevas, Sanuk and other footwear, has earned the company a LEED® Silver Certification.
Deckers Outdoor Corp. built a 190,000-square-foot ground up complex of four buildings in Goleta, California, outside Santa Barbara.
The headquarters made of recycled building materials has parking spaces reserved for energy-efficient cars and power stations for electric vehicles. It has a bike storage area with showers and changing facilities for employees and environmentally friendly irrigation and water drainage systems and energy efficient lighting and mechanical systems.
DirecTV was awarded LEED® Platinum for commercial Interiors. At approximately 1,000,000 sq. ft. and with a total of 4 buildings, the client relied heavily on the decision making capabilities of ARC and innovative design.
Some of the strategies used included optimized zoning controls, equipment efficiencies, thermal comfort and lighting controls that included dimming and sensor controls.
Not only did Wallis Annenberg win for civic category but we almost swept the interior category with three out of four projects being ARC projects … CBRE Global Corporate Headquarters, M building and United Talent Agency.
