Core and Shell:
Kilroy Sunset Media Center
ARC was hired to design MEP for Los Angeles office landlord Kilroy Realty Corporation that made its first move into Hollywood with the purchase of Sunset Media Center, a high-rise near the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Vine Street.
In accordance with Kilroy’s mission to equip its properties with state-of-the-market infrastructure and amenities, this building needed lots of updates and Kilroy wanted a complete re- branding and re-developing of the lobbies and main entrances.
In this multi-million-dollar renovation ARC was instrumental in facilitating the multiple consultations about elements of the building that were not immediately apparent. As well, the existing space had a lot of hidden conditions, and working within a budget on a space with 30 years of relative inattention was a challenge that necessitated ARC providing important design coordination with the Gensler architectural team and Howard Building construction group, ultimately producing a significant transformation of the property and yet another success story.
This successful collaboration with the architectural firm of Gensler on this project is ongoing, but at this stage ARC has helped the Kilroy leasing space on the 20th floor penthouse achieve LEED certification.
